Sick Day

Sorry folks. I’m just not feeling very good today, so there won’t be much of a post. Essentially, I didn’t get a lot of writing done this last week, but I am still working on it. Stay posted, maybe next week I’ll have more to report. See you then.

Hey.. are you all right? I follow your blog and I notice you haven’t posted recently, and your last two posts sound a bit down.

Listen, it’s OK to fall behind. It’s OK to fail. I try to write daily but some days I simply don’t have the energy or the time to do more than a paragraph or two. Some days I’m a perfectionist and I spend more time grappling with my internal editor than getting anything on the page at all. Some days I write 10k without even pausing for thought. All of that is OK. Just don’t let any one incident define who you are or change what you’re doing.

Hope all is well, and if not, hope you’re feeling better soon. Actually, coming here to your blog made me realize I’m not being very professional about my own writing, so it’s been an inspirational visit and a helpful one. Thanks. And I really hope you’re back on your feet again and feeling good soon. Cheers!

    • As a matter of fact, I was feeling very depressed and overwhelmed by life for a while. I’m back now, and hopefully I can keep it up for the rest of the year. Your support means a lot to me as I try to get back into the swing of things. Thank you very much for your comment.
